Schools Swamped with DACA Records Requests

"Some Inland school districts have been slammed by records requests from immigrant students applying for temporary residence, with a few districts setting appointments for months out or using forklifts to reach student files stacked in warehouses.  San Bernardino City Unified School District had a two-month wait for student records requests before a temporary employee was hired to help clear the backlog, spokeswoman Linda Bardere said.  Riverside Unified School District often has been accessing pallets of boxes with student files from its warehouse, and parents have waited up to three weeks for their requests to be fulfilled." – Press Enterprise, Oct. 23, 2012.
