VSC to Add 150 New Jobs

"More than 150 new federal jobs are coming to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration and Service (USCIS) Service Center.  Dan Renaud, head of the Vermont Service Center, which has offices in St. Albans and Essex, said the additional full-time positions are part of a regular re-evaluation of staffing needs.  The service center has 710 employees, not counting contract employees, between the two locations. The center is authorized for 873 positions.  The center has been aggressively hiring since July, said Renaud. He expects to hire an additional 150 to 160 new employees before the end of the federal fiscal year in September.  With regular turnover accounted for, Renaud said he hopes to have 840-850 employees at the service center in six to nine months." - St. Albans Messenger.
